São Jorge (2016) — my thoughts exactly

Why such movie deserves so many praises? Associated to a stale advertising style (cinematography, the focuses and blurs as long the characters walk in a frame with a camera-glue), there's a primitive accumulation of an expository discourse that wants to be meaningful.

(...)

And the way the camera does not know or want to observe spaces and characters, confusing kinesthesia and depth with the close up glued to the actors, just because, striving to find the iconography that can be remarkable. And it finds, so much that is repeated over and over and makes a movie poster. Tedious.
